Default The Acrobat

Alright, I've honestly been wanting to see a thief type class in GW but after thinking it over a thief doesn't really have any place in the game; however, that led me to the Acrobat.

Basicly the Acrobat would charge into battle confounding the enemy as much as possible with skills centering around interrupting, bleeding, and crippling all the while dealing a kind of support damage. The main use in a nutshell would be to completely distract the enemy with the Acrobat, all the while the Acrobat is flipping and dodging the enemy's attacks and giving them fairly good damage and great status damage.

The four attributes would be.

Lance Mastery: Yeah the Paragon have spears, but the lance would be used as a polearm, giving a sort of reach aspect and aiding in starting aerial manuevers. The lance would be used for mainly status damage such as interrupting, bleeding, etc.
Single Dagger: Since the Acrobat is an entertainer by day and a thief by night a single dagger would come in handy in story aspect, now in character use it'd be the main damage dealer. You could tie in sneak aspects to this as well.
Acrobatics: Obviously it would HAVE to have this attribute, basicly it'd be the dodging aspect; getting in and out and back into combat quickly would be handled by skills from this attribute.
Death Defiance: This would be the primary skill, increasing it would add a chance to dodge attacks.

Now for armour, they'd obviously wear light armour so they'd have to rely on their quickness, fleet of foot, etc. to stay alive.

I've been playing acrobats over the time of 3 elder scrolls games, the distraction is quite adequately put its a awesome idea for a function.

Lances.. ok mine liked using halberds because those where good in TESIII for the rest acrobats tend to use swashbuckler(dueling) weapons such as rapiers and talons, those are good for riposting and parrying, which can save your ass if your evading and dodging fail. Its logical why with a tiny dagger it is much harder to defend against an incoming great-axe.
Spears do the same by increasing the distance you can attack your foe at, reducing the amount of hits, though in GW this kind of kiting is much harder but still its a worth while option.

I think you have a great idea here(but I might be mesmerized by my affinity(<3) for the identity) if you could example some skills of how to make it work, I would really like to see what this comes out at.
Passive evades(such as through a primary) are broken though, it messes a lot with the attacks of assassins or axe warriors, it should always be removable counter able in someway.
As stances that give evades have already been done, I imagine causing forced movement on yourself, during this forced movement attacks against you would have a chance to miss(and during this forced movement there would be a sweet animation on you)
A skill could be like forced movement over/through all foes in a row dealing damage to each one you pass.

So, basically, it'll be exactly the same as the assassin in practice, it'll just look different. I mean, getting in and out of combat quickly? Shadowstepping. And don't say that it's different because it's leaping and not instantanious movement because while it'll look different, it'll do exactly the same thing.

Assasins are melee spikers, meant for dealing damage and picking foes off, they do indead shadowstep in and out of combat which is similar to jumping in and out yes.
However I'll leave that to wariors and stuff. What acrobat jumps into combat? the rule quite simply is don't stand still in range of a sword there for don't jump into combat you should jumpt through or over it, be unpredictable and targetless(don't be a melee spiker).

I however am not saying the combo would work bad, shadowstep into combat do acrobatics to harrass as many targets as possible while not getting hit, then shadowstep out of combat and wait for your skills to recharge.

Acrobatics would be like multy target shadow stepping, and to avoid further simelarities(cuz there are several between sin and acro)
I suggest that the acro should have no speed boost stances, sprinting is faster than jumping anyway(unless you are trying to move vertical ofcource)

Im in 2 minds about this idea.

At 1st I thought that it was basically a lance wielding assasin.

When I read it again I saw some potential for it. The acrobat jumps into combat and moves arund doing things that confuse the target/s. (Possibly a new condition "Confused" could be created?) When the target is confused the acrobat starts using his dagger as a weapon. Im not really sure about the lance but with some thought and discussion im sure you will get some good ideas.

Oh yes, I actually manged to forget that, the acrobat does not jump into combat like the sin because they would want to stay just a little farther away(double melee range) to use a polerarm.
